Since we missed November altogether, here's the rundown:
Arthur got pneumonia (who knew dogs got this?) and spent 7 days in the doggy hospital in isolation. Poor thing. But now she's fine, would never know she was sick.
Maria and I spent the week of Thanksgiving in NOLA with Theresa and Brian, Signe and Bob. Was a bit quiet and things are just not okay there, but it is pretending to be fine. At least the jambalaya at Mother's is the same as ever. Streetcar is now working from Canal to Napoleon. Best find: gay-owned restaurant called Petunia's. Yes, it's got hot pink walls, and pain perdu (french toast for the uninitiated) to die for. And the National World War II museum is really amazing. Must go to the museum of Southern Art next time.
Oh, and Conde Nast decided to shut down House & Garden, out of the clear blue sky. The nerve of them. Anyone looking for a fabulous managing editor?
